Viral video: Man falls down on knees on seeing restaurant closed during blizzard, netizens feel his pain

A man who visited a restaurant during a blizzard was left heartbroken to find it closed. A video of the man falling down on his knees has gone viral on social media. The incident happened in Toronto, Canada.

The man waded through knee-deep snow to reach the Nicey’s Eatery in Scarborough. However, the food services were shut for hours due to a severe snowstorm. He fell down on his knees when he realised that the restaurant was closed.

The frustration was visible in the man’s movements. He got up a few seconds later and walked back with his head down in disappointment. He struggles to keep his balance while going back.

“To our loyal customer, we don’t know who you are but we will be looking out for you. We are terribly sorry the restaurant was closed. We feel your disappointment and hope to see you soon. What ever you had on your mind to purchase today, that meal is on us,” Nicey’s Eatery wrote while sharing the CCTV footage on Instagram.

Valerie Lai, the owner of Nicey’s Eatery, told Global News that she decided to check the CCTV footage after she saw footprints in the snow. She was keen to know what motivated the man to visit them in such extreme cold.

The video has gone viral on social media, garnering more than 28,000 views. Many netizens found the video relatable.

One user said, “I felt his pain in this video he had true dedication.” Another suggested, “His girl must be pregnant. Lol that’s a man on a mission!”

A third user quipped, “Your new slogan shd be ‘People will walk a mile in a blizzard for a taste of Niceys.'” Yet another added, “lmao basically me whenever I don’t get the food item I was looking forward to.”
